Types Of Women You Should Never Date

Unknown - 10:38 AM
When you stop chasing the wrong things you give the right things a chance to catch you.
—Lolly Daskal

Dating is not easy. Much has been said about whom to date, both men and women, and whom to avoid. Yet there are some females who drive you crazy, and not in a good way. Chances are you may get hurt, lose your sanity, or stop believing in love if you keep dating some of these women. Of course, more often than not, we get so blinded by love that we tend to see everything through our rose-tinted glasses. So, here's a subtle warning for you. Date them at your own risk.

We are not saying that you should date only the perfect girl, but some extreme attributes can be really hazardous for your emotional health. Yup, so it is better to avoid girls like these.

The Gold Digger

She is with you just because of the money boy! She wants to try out all the fancy restaurants, and expects you to shower her with expensive gifts all the time, and treat her like royalty. We know you like to pamper your girl buddy, but there has to be a limit, right? She may not really care much about your feelings, and it could be just about the money, honey! So just get rid of her before you go broke, and she breaks your heart.

The Clingy One
"My honey bunny, coochie coo, what are you doing?" Get used to receiving such messages every few minutes when dating this girl. She just won't let you breathe peacefully for even a minute. Yup, it feels good to be wanted, but you don't want her to bombard you with calls and messages when you are at work, right? And yes, get ready to face her wrath if you miss even a single call from her. More often than not, she will make a huge scene if you don't text back. She does not have a life of her own and will cling to you like a leech. Yes, she will suck the life out of you. She just wants to spend every moment with you, and don't even expect anything like personal space when you are with her.

The Flirt

She used the most charming words, played with her hair in the most seductive way, smiled the most alluring smile, and made you go crazy for her. But wait, she does that with everybody! Yup, she is the quintessential flirt who acts as if she is interested in every guy on the planet, and not just you! Can you handle the men who will be running after her because of her antics? And do you think she'll stick around if she finds a better prospect? Date her only if your answer to the above two questions is a "yes".

The Marriage Obsessed
You go out, the date is fun, the conversation is amazing, the chemistry is sizzling, and everything just feels right. Then your date starts talking about the future, about marriage, and what not! And you are like, what the hell is going on!!! Well, either your gal is so impressed with you, that she just can't stop thinking about your amazing future together, or she is just obsessed with marriage. Yup, all she wants is to get married and settle down and is looking for a hubby, not a boyfriend. Run away before things start getting very serious, unless you are looking for a wife as well.

The Overly Dramatic

You just have got to be wary of this one! She loves to create a scene in public, her overly dramatic gestures and expressions will ensure that you always get lots of unnecessary attention. A simple argument may lead to a tweet or a huge post on Facebook about it. Basically, everything about her is over the top and extreme. She just has to shout out to the whole world about what is going on in your life. Date her only if you can handle all her attention-seeking tantrums.

The Cheater
This girl has got everything that will make you want her, but she is not a keeper. She has cheated, and most probably will cheat again. The prospect of getting someone better, makes her check out other men. Even if you are in a committed relationship, there's no guarantee when she'll break your trust. Save yourself all the heartbreak, stay away from this gal!

The Pretty Princess

She looks at the world through her rose-tinted glasses, and expects everything to happen according to her whims and fancies. The relationship is all about her, and you barely exist. All the dates and activities will be planned according to her wish. She also expects you to treat her like royalty and pamper her like a princess. Good luck, if you are dating this one!

The Jealous Maiden
Talk to any other female in front of her, and get ready to be reprimanded. She is suspicious all the time, she asks you innumerable questions, and has problems with your female friends. A confident woman should not get so worked up or jealous for no reason, which goes on to show that she is really messed up. A little jealousy is always good, but it should be in a fun, flirty way, not the creepy obsessive way.

The Control Freak

According to her, everything you do is wrong. She will judge you, shout at you, and make your life miserable. She probably has insecurity issues and will take out all that on you. She will want everything done according to her way, and will lose her temper over the silliest of things. She is like one step ahead of the princess. She will be very critical about your life as well. Well, you do want your partner to be honest with you, but that doesn't mean she keeps insulting you all the time.

The Insecure Woman
She is the kind of woman who is always in a relationship. She has probably defined her life through the purview of her relationships. And being alone makes her really insecure and unhappy. She will date you just because she doesn't want to be alone. She will freak out after every little disagreement you have, and will have the constant fear that she'll end up alone. Ouch! For you as well as her!

This doesn't absolve the men folk either. There are an equal, if not more, number of male types you should not date. Dating can be like a roller coaster ride, and as with any roller coaster, personal safety and well-being is paramount. So, just ensure that you do the same when it comes to dating too.

Official: Gun in Va. television murders purchased legally

Unknown - 10:57 PM
The gunman who murdered two Virginia journalists and wounded another person on live television legally purchased two handguns last month, including the one used in the attack, and was able to pass a required background check despite his apparent emotional problems, a federal law enforcement official said Thursday.

The official, who is not authorized to comment publicly, said Vester Flanagan bought two Glock 9mm handguns from a federally licensed gun dealer in Virginia, and there was nothing in his criminal background to prohibit the transaction.

The same weapon used early Wednesday morning by Flanagan to kill reporter Alison Parker, 24, and photographer Adam Ward, 27, was used to kill himself, the official said.

Flanagan's choice of weapon, the official said, also appeared to track his stated admiration for mass shooter Seung-Hui Cho, who killed 32 people in a 2007 attack at Virginia Tech, the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. Cho, who also killed himself, used a Glock in the attack.
In a lengthy, rambling suicide message sent to ABC News, Flanagan referred to Cho as "his boy.'' He also said the June 17 Charleston church massacre "sent me over the top,'' adding that he placed a deposit on a gun two days after the South Carolina shooting that left nine dead.
The disclosures about Flanagan's weapons' purchases come as some made renewed calls for new laws to restrict firearm sales in the U.S.

Although Flanagan passed a background check, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, said such checks should be required for private firearms transactions, a purchase option commonly referred to as the "gunshow loophole.''

A proposal for universal background checks was part of a raft of gun control measures that failed to gain traction in the aftermath of the 2012 Newtown school massacre.

"A background check takes two to three minutes. I just really believe everyone who purchases a firearm in our nation should go through a background check," McAuliffe said on CNN. "It shouldn't be political."

In an earlier statement issued by his office, the governor said even while the "tragedy'' was still fresh, "it is appropriate to begin to ask questions about how we can prevent these senseless events in the future.''
"Keeping guns out of the hands of people who would use them to harm our family, friends and loved ones is not a political issue; it is a matter of ensuring that more people can come home safely at the end of the day,'' he said.

Short of all-inclusive background checks, McAuliffe spokesman Brian Coy said the governor is seeking to prohibit gun show dealers from advertising at those events that purchases do not require background checks.

"There are easy commonsense steps we can take,'' Coy said.
Andy Parker, the slain reporter's grief-stricken father, said Thursday that he would join the ranks of families who have lost loved ones to gun violence and seek new firearms controls.
"How many times are we going to see incidents like this happen?'' Paker said on MSNBC, ticking off a list of recent mass shootings.
"We have to find a way to keep crazy people from getting guns,'' he said.

Best Adventure Vacation in U.S

Unknown - 11:52 AM
We all seek some adventure for life, and what makes us seek this adventure is our human nature, to just for some time, hit the off road. Adventure vacations help us to bring out the wild side in us, which normally is under the wraps in some corner of our homes and offices. These vacations help you to embrace life, just as it is, without any liabilities and commitments in that moment. This vacation, discover adventures at these best adventure vacations in the US, and discover a new 'you'. Adventure in general is very important for us to make our lives a tad more interesting and lively. There is always a need to do something that is not done everyday, and this gets us closer to these vacations. Like Helen Keller said, "life is either a great adventure or nothing".

Planning an Adventure Vacation in the US
The definition of adventure varies for all of us. For some, it's nearing the supreme power through meditation, and for some, it's the experience of the adrenaline rush. Whatever maybe our expectations from these adventure vacation ideas, these 5 destinations will surely get you close to them. Let's check out what these best adventure vacations in US have in store for us!

Grand Canyon, Arizona
River rafting through the Grand Canyon can be one of the best adventure vacations for you this year. You must have already heard stories of people going rafting on the Colorado river, which flows through the Grand Canyon. The gigantic beauty of the Canyon makes this adventure not only adventurous but a memory you're bound to cherish your whole life. While you're at the Canyon, you can also check out other adventure sports, such as rafting and paragliding, which are again common at the Grand Canyon. While you're there, make the most out of it!

Scuba Diving, Hawaii
This is my personal favorite when it comes to the adventure vacations in America, and the entire world too. Scuba diving can be an experience in its own, and at the Hawaiian islands, it just gets better! Though there are more than a hundred islands in Hawaii, the ones visited most for scuba diving are Kauai, Oahu, Ni'ihau, Lanai, Maui, Molokai, Hawaii (the island) and Kahoolawe. Avoid the islands of Ni'ihau, Molokai and Lanai if you're a beginner. The marine life at Hawaii is one of the most beautiful in the entire world. Scuba diving is done extensively at these islands, so you don't have to worry about finding company. You can also visit Mt. Kilauea, globally the most active volcano.

Road Trip on the Pan American
Traveling through 14 countries and 2 continents does seem an adventure to live for, doesn't it? If this idea interests you, you might want to make a road trip across the Pan American Highway, that starts in Alaska and ends in the southern parts of the South American continent. It isn't a single highway as such, but a network of roads that measures approximately 30,000 miles in totality. It is known as the longest motorable road, globally. This can be a great adventure vacation for a group, or just for a couple too.

Death Valley National Park, California
Considered as one of the best family adventure vacations, the Death Valley National Park has much more to offer than its name suggests. The Ubehebe Crater which is 800m deep, and the Zabriskie Point, are two famous places to visit inside the park. Dante's View and Badwater are other two such places, the former being 5475 feet above sea level, and the latter being 282 feet below sea level. Trained hikers can hike on the Telescope Peak which stands 11,000 feet tall. A visit to the dry lake called Racetrack Playa might even show you the Milky Way at night. The children would love to see that, won't they!

Underwater Volcanoes, Caribbean
No no, I'm not asking you to actually visit an active underwater volcano. There are volcanic fissures in the Caribbean that you can safely visit and see some amazing forms of nature. In Champagne and Dominica, you can witness small bubbles that are released from the sea bed due to these volcanic fissures. Most of the Caribbean cruises will take you to a visit here. You might even be lucky enough to witness these through a submarine ride. A combination of scuba diving and visiting these volcanic fissures would work just great.

I hope these options for best adventure vacations in US did justice to your adventure meter. For those who are tired with day-to-day problems and the various issues life offers, try going for a meditation workshop and learn a few tricks to calm that soul down. After all, there is adventure in doing something that until now you thought you could never do. These are also great options for adventure vacations for couples who are looking for something more than just romance. Pack your bags and hit the road. A lot of excitement, thrill, and of course some truckload of adventure, is awaiting you. Have Fun!

Why Most Women Date Older Men

Unknown - 12:15 AM
He [Michael] knows exactly what he wants and what life is about. That impresses me. But Michael can also be a real softy. He sends me flowers and cries when his kids say something particularly pathetic. We didn't care about the age gap from the beginning on. We relied more on our emotions and feelings. It was like that and it should always be like that. ~ Catherine Zeta Jones

Women function in ways which remain inscrutable to men. Psychologists, several men, and relationship experts, have tried to answer what women desire, for years on end. However, the efforts seems to be in vain. So why do most women fall for men years older to them? Is it because they are well settled and hold a better experience in bed and business? Maybe! But there surely are other reasons why women look for a partner who is older than them. Let's take a look at some of the factors that contribute to women being mesmerized by the idea of being with men older than them.

Why do Women Date Older men?

Well Settled
Women view courtship through the lens of a certain permanency. They picture settling down faster than what men do. A younger man seems in no hurry to get anywhere, but women generally figure out an itinerary before they buy a ticket for the ride of their life. On the other hand, older men generally tend to have clearer career goals, and have specified directions to life. This becomes the baseline for women to lean towards men who are older than them. This gives them a sense of security, and a foundation to build their dream on.

Experienced
It is pretty much of a turn-off when a man has to be told to get his act together in bed. That is one place where women like it when a man takes charge. An older man seems promising on this front too. With his salt and pepper hair, he comes with an experience that makes those intimate moments far more intense than a younger man does.

Intelligent and Mature
What is the point of those dates when your man is either stuck to his phone or is only interested in talking about himself? Women with a higher emotional quotient seek older men, as they need some kind of an intellectual stimulation. An ability to make meaningful conversations rests with those who are slightly more mature, well-read, and well-versed with interpersonal skills. The experience of an older man enriches him with this knowledge, which attracts a woman.

Stable Persona
As a man settles down in his career and begins to achieve his life goals, he develops a stronger personality. He becomes more rooted in thought and sentiment. For older men, experience precedes experimentation. Women appreciate men who are less likely to change, as it gives the relationship a sense of stability and permanency.

Independent
Older men are far more independent than younger men. They are not only financially independent from their peers and parents, but also have gained their emotional independence. This means they are living on their own too. It becomes easier to develop a relationship with a man whose space is not shared with his parents or other roommates.

No Chase Game
We are all aware of the chase game and the thrill attached to it. The whole playing-hard-to-get, giving-in-a-little, and hide-and-seek of a relationship is generally avoided by older men. These men are sure of their needs and wants, which make them plan their moves very accurately. Instead of wasting time in the whole chase game, these men prefer to invest it in knowing the person well, by spending quality time with them.

Respects the Relationship
A man with experience has better understanding of a woman's needs. Hence, he has the ability of at least attempting to provide for her, and treat her with respect. A younger man still struggles to articulate his respect towards women. The respect in the relationship helps a woman build the equation on the grounds of mutual respect and trust.

Often times, women who date older men are seen as gold diggers. They are perceived as those who simply go for the financial security that they may find and the easy access to riches. However, emotional security becomes the biggest driving force for a woman to connect with a man who is older than her.

Did India Get Independence because of WW2

Unknown - 10:48 AM
Did you know
Around 2.5 million Indian troops were sent out to fight the Axis powers under the British empire during WW2.

"The sun never set on the British Empire" this statement would have probably come true for the mammoth British Empire that spanned over 13,000,000 square miles had it not been for the disastrous World War II. During her imperial reign, India was referred to as "The Jewel in the Crown," but the political movements within the colonial territory took a worse turn during the war period.

Even as India provided assistance to the British, the demand for freedom rose through numerous uprisings and conflicts which paved the way for India's independence movement. The non-violent means to attain freedom projected by Mahatma Gandhi gained momentum during World War II and accordingly caused great stress on the Britain's policies, coercing them to recognize the implications of the Swadeshi movement. Additionally, Britain's economic and human resources were worsened by the war campaign. Moreover, the Japanese were gaining control over the British colonies in Burma. All these factors pushed Britain to realize that it had lost control of India. These sentiments were echoed by Clement Attlee, the Prime Minister of Great Britain when he called India a 'state of great tension' during his speech to the House of Commons after the war. Thus, granting freedom to its favored colony became a necessity after World War II.

Brief Historic Background
➔ The Indian Independence movement had begun with the Great Mutiny of 1857 but it was World War II that finally brought momentum to the agitation. After war broke out in September 1939, the British instantly dragged India into the conflict without conferring with the nationalist leadership.
➔ The Muslim League readily supported the war on Germany thereby promoting its own interests of creating a separate nation, Pakistan. During the war, the League became progressively potent increasing its membership to over 2 million people.
➔ On the other hand, Mahatma Gandhi urged the British Government to talk terms with Hitler. The largest political party Congress however did not support this policy, Jawaharlal Nehru believed that India should negotiate for freedom instead. Congress backed Nehru and rejected the declaration that India was at war with Germany without consultation.

Role of World War II in Indian Independence
➔ 1. Before the onset of World War II the strength of the British Indian army was around 2,20,000 native soldiers. With the commencement of war, it grew over ten folds and branched out into naval and air force units. The army remained funded under the British crown throughout the war, several Indian industries saw unbelievable evolution during war e.g. small warships were built and an aircraft factory came into existence in Bangalore which is now known as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. This invariably laid the foundation for the Indian Army that subsists today.

➔ 2. During the initial stages of war, Japanese forces seized Rangoon and jeopardized entry into the Indian Territory. The British concentrated all its power to defend the Indian northeast frontier from falling under Japanese invasion by sending in military aid.

➔ 3. After the Pearl Harbor bombings it became evident that India would be the next Japanese target, hence Stafford Cripps was sent as an envoy to negotiate a deal stressing India's full support in the war. Moreover, Britain did not want India to get involved with the Axis forces and hence Cripps proposed a choice for independence by offering a full 'Dominion status' which gave the right to leave the Empire and Commonwealth when the war was over. He further offered a deal that said any province not wishing to join India could obtain independence by becoming a free country. Congress rejected this proposition and called for a full cabinet government with consolidation of all Indian states into one nation. The British declined this proposal thus starting the largest non-violent independence movement called Quit India. As the situation worsened British actively crushed the movement with over 1,00,000 arrests and disintegration of the Congress.

➔ 4. Within the country's borders lay a dormant Indian National Army, an armed military unit formed by Indian nationalists in 1942. The main aim of this army had been the oust of British rule from India. During the World War II in 1943 it was revived again under the leadership of Subhas Chandra Bose who was also known as Netaji. He started recruiting bitter prisoners of war who had served the British Indian Army but later captured by Japanese in Singapore. Under his leadership INA pledged allegiance with the axis powers and with the use of guerrilla tactics planned to invade India through Burma. However, the untimely death of Netaji in 1945 in a plane crash and the defeat of the army at Burma brought about its downfall. After the end of World War II, captured INA soldiers were put on trial for treason and awarded death penalties.

➔ 5. Probably, the largest man-made famine in history was the Bengal famine of 1943 that killed around 4 million Indians. 1943 witnessed bad harvests due to WW2. To make the situation worse, Burma which was the main source of food for Bengal had been seized by the Japanese and therefore food stocks were running low. Bengal lacked any other food source and lay at the mercy of Great Britain. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill on purpose ordered fewer food stocks in order to stop the invading Japanese army and cut their food supply.

➔ 6. The battle of Kohima broke out on 3rd April, 1944, when the Japanese army with the assistance of Bose's INA attacked a British garrison. The British forces low on supplies and human resources defended themselves for nearly two weeks before support arrived. The Japanese ran out on food supply and incurred heavy losses from British reinforcements which forced them to retreat. The battle of Imphal lasted longer than Kohima, after five months and heavy losses, the Japanese army accepted its defeat thus marking an end to its imperialist ambitions.

➔ 7. After WW2, it became increasingly difficult for Britain to hold a colony as huge as India. In February of 1947, the British government declared that India would be granted independence by June 1948. Louis Mountbatten, Viceroy to India, urged the Congress and the Muslim League to form a united country. Congress accorded with Jinnah's view of creating a separate Muslim state in the Muslim dominated parts of western India (now Pakistan) and East Bengal. The British could not contain the religious clashes that ensued between the two groups before the dawn of independence. Fearing the safety of British citizens within India, Lord Mountbatten on 15th July, 1947, furthered the date of transfer of power to August 15, 1947.

Conclusion
As WW2 ended, the British Empire had incurred heavy economical losses. The Satyagraha movement launched by Mahatma Gandhi hastened the political reforms within the country. The British Empire could not spend more money in containing these agitations and hence decided to retire themselves from the Indian soil.

Mahatma Gandhi's non-violence principles and India's independence inspired the repressed British colonies around the world to finally dethrone the mammoth Empire. In fact, if the Second World War had not taken place; the Britishers may have never left India. Maybe the 21st century would have dawned with imperialism still owning numerous colonies.

Tips to Prevent Neck Pain at Work

Unknown - 1:24 AM
Did you know?

Under the occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSH Act), employers are responsible for providing a safe and healthful workplace to all their employees.

Before we proceed to preventing neck pain at work, we must look at the causes of this troublesome condition. The most common causes include soft tissue abnormalities and prolonged use and wear. Rarely, certain infections and tumors might also cause pain in the neck, which can radiate to the upper back, arms, and shoulders. However, when we specifically talk about neck pain that has its roots in your working technique, you need to make sure you're working in an ergonomic-friendly workspace. Basically, ergonomics is the science that ensures your work environment is not, in any way, causing health problems for you and that your working conditions are the best for your well-being.

The following tips will ensure that you are not, in any way, a victim of neck pain, and that this condition doesn't ever bother your performance at work.

Crucial Tips to Prevent Neck Pain at Work
☛ One of the easiest things you can do is not sit for prolonged periods in one position. Remember to continuously change positions and relax your shoulders.

☛ Work interspersed with breaks will enable you to relax your muscles, and do a few neck-strengthening exercises. Take a break every two hours to relax and exercise. For example, every two hours, drop your chin to your chest, roll your neck to the right, back, to the left, and down again in a circular motion. Do this for 5 minutes and get back to work.

☛ Avoid the head-forward posture and do not slouch. When you are sitting in a chair, keep your lower back supported and make sure your feet are flat on the floor.

☛ The screen of your computer should always be at eye level. This greatly helps in preventing pain that is associated with long-term computer use.

☛ If you use the phone a lot, use a headset or use the speakerphone function. Don't cradle the phone between your neck and shoulder.

☛ If your job involves driving, adjust the seat of your car to an upright position. Your head and lower back should always be supported. The steering wheel should be easily reachable and your arms should be slightly flexed.

☛ Use adjustable chairs so you can adjust the height as per your requirements. If your feet don't touch the floor, use a footrest. Also, try adjusting the chair to different positions for more comfort. You need to customize your workstation so that it adjusts to your requirements and not vice versa.

☛ While you're typing, your knees, hips, and elbows need to be at a 90-degree angle. Your elbows should remain close to your body the entire time. By following this posture, you will not only prevent neck pain that is caused due to sitting at a desk for long, but also problems related to back pain.

☛ Make sure that your mouse isn't out of your reach. Keep it near you and the keyboard. You shouldn't need to raise your shoulder to reach it.

☛ Do not keep your laptop on your lap and look down at it. This not only puts stress on your neck, but also on your spine. Even while using a tablet, the strain on your neck can be reduced by keeping the gadget at eye level.

☛ If your job needs you to lift objects, then stand close to the object you need to lift; bend at your hips, hold the object close to your body, and lift. If you think it's very heavy, don't lift it and inform your authorities.

Some other Tips

Chewing helps decrease stress by reducing cortisol levels, and also improves alertness. Keep a few carrots, cucumbers, or healthy snacks with you while at work, to fight stress. Maintaining a healthy body weight will also certainly help. Consider getting a massage once in a while to pamper your muscles. Last but not the least, make sure you're sleeping on the right pillow.
These tips will definitely help you prevent neck pain at work and keep all related woes at bay. A healthy posture will not only avoid health problems, but will also increase your productivity at work. If you still need any help, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) provides several guidelines that will help you understand ergonomics at your workplace.
